The old Tynemouth Borough Civil Defence records of those who died in the Wilkinson Lemonade Factory Disaster are held by Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums Service, in Blandford House (Discovery Museum), Newcastle.
As each victim was identified for burial, their details were recorded. Our project historians read this grim file and with the permission of the Archives they were allowed to photograph and display a selection on our Blog. They make very moving reading. If you want to see these fragile documents for real, ask for collection T:15, file 1475 in the Archive Search Room.
